Will You Help?
At this point I have some ideas as to the direction of the site but I will hold off because we believe in the collective wisdom of the group. Group dynamics, no matter the size of the group, are well defined. Businesses and organizations have long tried to modify work groups to take advantage of this collective wisdom. Unfortunately, groups almost always turn out the same way; a very limited number of members dominate the discussion and the remaining membership become observers. These observers each have their ideas but because of their personalities and the strong personalities of the leaders, these opinions are not expressed. I am hoping that with the anonymousness of the internet we will be able to see this diverse body of thought and be able to bring it into the discussion.
So: Why do you care? Why should you care? Why do you want to talk with people you don’t know? Well, I don’t know. Maybe because it’s better than studying. Maybe it is kinda cool to be part of building something. Maybe there is a much bigger question here to be answered.
