What Will We Look Like?
We believe in the development of a community that benefits all of its members. Communities come in all sizes whether they are your local home community, high school and now college community to your Facebook community of friends. My blog is to begin the discussions as to what our community will look like, what things bring our groups together and what it takes to encourage a feeling of community.
My goal is to develop, with your help and direction, a community of all college students. To give each a feeling of belonging and participating in the community. Because each of you come from different backgrounds, have different interests and inherently don’t like talking to people you don’t know; the challenge will be to build a platform whereby everyone enjoys being here. I will be asking for input. A lot of input. Things probably will not move as quickly as some would like but we need to be deliberate in the design or we’ll look like the arcade where everyone is huddled around their own machine. Ultimately ending up in numerous communities.
