Who we are
Bob’s Blog is designed to be a gathering place for the largest organized (non-organized) network in the world. We want to be your meeting place every morning before you go off in your own directions. We want to give you some things to think about, some ways to have an impact, and ultimately some fun. Bob and Betty are the aliases of Steve Collins and Karen Reed who operate The Kid Network. Karen is in charge of the business issues and is president of the company. I, on the other hand, try to do what I’m told.
I chose to write under the name “Bob” because he is just sooo darn cute. And Bob truly understands that he is a “B.eautiful O.rnate B.ird”. I just wanted to point this out because I am already hearing rumblings of other interpretations for the acronym of this fine feathered friend, so I just wanted to head them off.
Anyway, Bob has been charged with building a community of college students. Not some college students, but just about all college students. Somewhat ambitious you ask? Hell yah! But with your help and direction I would like to give a shot at this grand experiment.
Now, let me speak about what we believe. We believe in community, both small and large. We believe in the power and the intricacies of both social and business networks. And, we believe the in the abilities of collective wisdom (I’ll speak more about this at some later date) of very large groups of people.
